Inflammation is just plain bad for the bod. It has been linked to weight gain, joint pain, heart disease, acne, bloating and fatigue. So to fight inflammation, we want to first make sure we are cutting down on the things that cause it. By things, I mean sugar, alcohol, saturated fats, refined carbs, and gluten to name a few. Instead, we want to incorporate at least a few of these anti-inflammatory foods into our daily diet. 🙂

RAW NUTS

 OLIVE OIL

TOMATOES

BEETS

BERRIES

CHERRIES

GINGER & TURMERIC

This Anti-Inflammatory Beet and Cherry Smoothie is made up of a healthy dose of fruits that are ready to fight inflammation. Kick this bad boy up a notch by adding in  a handful of dark leafy greens. You can never go wrong with an extra handful of spinach. 😉

Ingredients
  1. 10 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  2. 1-2 small beets, cut into quarters (*store bought, already peeled and ready to eat)
  3. 1/2 cup of frozen pitted cherries
  4. 1/2 frozen banana
  5. 1 tablespoon of almonds/almond butter
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
