Ok so today is the day I swear I am getting back on track. There is something about being home at our parents house, where the last thing I feel like doing is making a smoothie in the morning or eating a salad for lunch. I just want to sit on the couch and eat Cheeze It’s…
But now we are back in NYC, away from the leftovers, and getting back into our routine. Maria is always really good about making her smoothie in the morning. I am really good at buying mine from Equinox :).
I am currently obsessed with their TropiKale green smoothie! It’s really refreshing, and has plant based protein that holds me over until lunch. So here is our version of the TropiKale smoothie for you to make at home!

What brand of vanilla protein powder do you use?
We love Vega, Skoop or protein by the Clean Program!
How do you handle the ginger? Do you chop it up before adding to the blender?
I just use ground ginger, but you can also slice fresh ginger as well! The amount can really be to your taste preference. And yes, if you have a decent blender it should break it down. 🙂
Substitute for the protein powder?
