Turmeric is one of those things that I know is so ridiculously good for me, yet I rarely eat it. I don’t cook with it that often, and although we have an Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Smoothie recipe, I only make it every once and awhile. So after thinking about how I could make sure I get a good dose of turmeric every day, I came up with the perfect solution. Balls.
Benefits of Turmeric
Anti-Inflammatory
Increases the bodies antioxidant capacity
Improves brain function
Lowers risk of heart disease
Prevents and may even help treat cancer
May help treat depression
May prevent and treat Alzheimers
So not only are these Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Date Balls ridiculously easy to make, once you make a batch or five you are done! Store them in your freezer and eat one a day. They are so so good, and naturally sweet enough to balance the strong turmeric flavor. Lou and I make sure we eat at least one a day. Hopefully in years to come we will thank ourselves. 🙂

- In a food processor or high-speed blender, add the walnuts, oats, black pepper and turmeric and blend until broken down.
- Add the dates a slowly process until a dough forms.

Turmeric has many benefit for our heath such as Easing Aches and Discomfort, Promoting Balanced Mood…but it ‘s quite hard for me to drink it directly because of its taste. With this recipe, I believe I can use it everyday
I agree Juanita, i keep these in the freezer and eat one (or more!) a day 🙂
Oh my god!! they look so DELICIOUSSS. Could you let me know HOW big IS ENOUGH FOR ONE BALL?
THank you so much for your post. HOPE YOU WILL HAVE MORE HELPFUL POSTS LIKE THIS ^^
Aw thanks Anne! The size is really up to you. I made 10 smaller balls, maybe around 1 1/2 inches? But feel free to make them as big as you want 🙂
Do they STain your fingers?
if you roll them in turmeric after then you will need to wash your hands good for sure, but just the dough is fine!
Always eat black pepper with turmeric. Absorption depends on it.
Yes you are right good catch! It’s in our Anti-Inflammatory shake I just updated the recipe. 🙂
