Most mornings I have some form of “green smoothie” for breakfast. Lately I’ve been obsessed with Vega’s chocolate protein; so my smoothie looks like a milkshake… but I swear there’s spinach in there. 🙂 I know people say they don’t have time to make a smoothie in the morning, and I get it. However, once you’re in the routine it only takes a few minutes to throw everything into a blender!
The nice thing about a liquid breakfast is that it’s really easy on your digestive system. Because your body spends so much energy on digestion, a juice or smoothie gives it a break from working to break down solid foods. Then your body can use that extra energy on cleansing and detoxifying! A smoothie is also a great way to pack in greens, fruit, protein or any other supplements you may be lacking in your daily diet. If I’m not having a salad for lunch, I know I at least get a bowls worth of spinach for breakfast. 🙂

Even better, substitute 1/2 an avocado for the banana. so creamy
Yes I love avocado in my smoothies, and less sugar 😉
