One of our most popular posts on Spinach for Breakfast is our Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric and Ginger Smoothie. If you’re not sure why, let me tell ya 🙂
Inflammation is just plain bad for the bod. It has been linked to weight gain, joint pain, heart disease, acne, bloating and fatigue. So to fight inflammation, we want to first make sure we are cutting down on the things that cause it. By things, I mean sugar, alcohol, saturated fats, refined carbs, and gluten to name a few. Instead, we want to incorporate at least a few of these anti-inflammatory foods into our daily diet. 🙂

This Anti-Inflammatory Beet and Cherry Smoothie is made up of a healthy dose of fruits that are ready to fight inflammation. Kick this bad boy up a notch by adding in a handful of dark leafy greens. You can never go wrong with an extra handful of spinach. 😉

Looks delicious! Are the beets raw or cooked?
Hi Steph! I buy them pre-cooked and packaged at Whole Foods. So all you need to do is cut them up 🙂
Hey! Do you know if this would still work with coconut water? Or would it be too sweet?
Ohhhh how I love everything about this!!! I’m feeling like I could use this after the weekend-haha! Hope you had a great one. Gorgeous photos too.
Cherry is a perfect ingredient. It has a unique flavor and is extremely healthy as it is rich in nutrients. This smoothie will be very helpful for busy bees like me. Thank you for sharing.
Nope, lol. I’m drinking this right now as I write. The beet undertone is just no good. I’ll drink it because I hate waste and I’m accustomed to things that don’t necessarily taste fabulous but are healthy. No way I can make this for my mother’s husband though. He likes beets but not in a smoothie I’m thinking. I’m glad I experimented on myself first!
To each their own! Thanks for sharing your feedback 🙂
